We are delighted to announce that our very own Emma Mills has been nominated for Young Entrepreneur of the Year at the Downtown in Business, Women In Business awards.
The awards recognise and celebrate the accomplishments of women across Manchester, Liverpool, Lancashire and Leeds. As the business club says, “There is still a huge distance to travel before the number of women at executive level is whereit should be, but that doesn’t stop us from celebrating the accomplishments of those who have already achieved so much.”
Over the last seven years Emma has worked tirelessly to build Mi PA to the business it is today. Drawing on her natural abilities while developing new business smarts, Emma is nurturing a business with strong foundations and a bright future.
In the last year, Emma has recruited 5 members of staff including 2 apprentices. And Mi PA has been nominated for 3 awards, winning Best Support Business to SME’s at The Talk of Manchester Awards.
Talking about the awards and increasing the representation and participation of womenin business, Emma remarked, “I think the most important thing is the growing number of women who are going out there and doing it for themselves without concern or regard for the boundaries and obstacles that can so often affect women in business. I’m so pleased to be nominated alongside some amazing high profile female entrepreneurs in the North West – it a real honour just to be nominated!”
