The Mi PA Training Scheme
There’s something really exciting about having new team members in the office. We’ve just hired two new apprentices through The Apprentice Academy. Darcy and Amber are just out of college, full of enthusiasm and ready to get stuck in to the Mi PA Training Scheme.
We combine boot camp training, one-to-one development and on-the-job experience to cultivate high-calibre virtual assistants who are ready to take on the world!
Our thorough training ensures fantastic career prospects for our apprentices and the subsequent Mi PA career development path ensures we hold on to that talent, giving each one of our fabulous employees the opportunity to shine and enjoy their career to the max.
All this would not be possible without the support of the National Apprenticeship Service. They offer grants to help employers take on apprentices aged between 16 and 24. It has a value of £1500 per apprentice which contributes towards their wage.
The Apprentice Academy found us our brilliant new employees and supports their training – and ours! The whole team benefits from this – we all learn something new – and knowing we’re giving something back to Manchester and helping young people get ahead gives us enough warm and fuzzies to last all year!
Taking on apprentices has helped transform Mi PA. We’re building a sustainable business and a culture of learning – something I value really highly. I’ve seen the whole team step up, helping our newbies fit in and supporting them in their learning.
Taking on an apprentice is more straightforward than many people think and is a great way to grow your business and team’s skills. To be eligible for the grant, you business must have less than 1000 employees and will not have recruited an apprentice in the last 12 months. Grants are available for up to 10 apprentices per business.
This is the 2nd year Mi PA has worked with The Apprentice Academy and I highly recommend their service. You can find out more here.
By the way, we’re always on the lookout for new talent, so if you or someone you know is interested in a career in Virtual Assistance, please do get in touch. Whether they’re an apprentice, graduate or career-builder, we’d love to hear from them.
